German Bake Sale
The museum’s German Bake Sale the first two weekends of December tempts shoppers with traditional German homemade holiday treats, from Springerle and Stollen to Pfeffernusse and Lebkuche. Complimentary refreshments and costumed musicians add to the festivities.
The bake sale takes place the same two weekends as Hermann’s popular Kristkindl Mart, a traditional German Christmas market held at Stone Hill Winery the first weekend of December and at Hermannhof Winery the second weekend of December.
Bake sale hours are 10:00 to 4:00 on Saturday and noon to 4:00 on Sunday.
From mid-November through December the museum offers group tours with the theme Ein Blick in die Vergangenheit — “a look into the past.” Tour highlights include costumed docents and 19th-century decorations.
