
About Historic Hermann
Historic Hermann is committed to preserving and interpreting the collective heritage of Hermann, Missouri, and its environs.
Through its collections, collaborations with other organizations and restoration of the historic German school building, Historic Hermann is dedicated to preserving the past and cultivating an appreciation for the unique history of the Hermann area.
Historic Hermann was born at a public meeting held in Hermann on October 30, 1952. With the help of the National Trust, the organization was incorporated on January 1, 1953. Its charter calls for extending appreciation of the area’s German heritage by providing a museum for receiving and preserving items of historic value.
